DHAKA: Finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith launched an online-based rating system for salary and pension.

He inaugurated the system at finance ministry conference hall in city on Thursday (December 17).

The minister said, “The conventional system of nearly 268 years has now been converted into digital system”.

“This digital system will help people get rid of hassles in going to accountant office again and again,” he added.

“The system will be effective in tackling corruption and harassment. It will automatically calculate the salary and pension,” he stated.

According to the finance minister, launching of this online system will enable people concerned to prepare a database of existing employees, planning for budget and operating account in a specialized way.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, local government secretary Abdul Maleque, finance secretary Mahbub Ahmed, ICT division secretary Shyam Sundar Sikdar, among others, were present at the event.
