DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 67.33 points to stand at 4578.87 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 100334 with transaction at Tk 4888.72 million. Of the issues traded, 247 advanced, 51 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

QSMDRYCELL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 172.14 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, SQURPHARMA, KDSALTD, BSRMSTEEL, EMERALDOIL, AFTABAUTO, ALARABANK, TITASGAS     and AFSURCEML.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8507.35 by gaining over 123.03 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 188 gained, 33 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
