DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
 
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 1.24 points only to stand at 4674.83 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 153283 with volume of transactions at Tk 6080.34 million.

Of the issues traded, 145 advanced, 136 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 325.77 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ITC, EMERALDOIL, KPCL, BEXIMCO, BDTHAI, SUMITPOWER, SAPORTL, MJLBD and RAKCERAMIC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8680.50 by dropping over 4.80 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 105 gained, 98 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
