DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 23.45 points or 0.50 per cent to 4698.29 in the first one-hour of trade at 11:25am.

Trade deals stood at 35282 with transaction at Tk 1496.08 million.

Of the issues traded, 151 advanced, 75 declined and 40 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 100.38 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8705.65 by gaining over 25.15 points at 11:22am.

Out of the issues traded, 70 gained, 58 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
