DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 12.37 points only to stand at 4687.20 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 156707 with volume of transactions at Tk 6197.45 million.



Of the issues traded, 200 advanced, 93 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

EMERALDOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 217.54 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GPHISPAT, UPGDCL, SAIFPOWER, GOLDENSON, ALLTEX, BDTHAI, ITC, CITYBANK and TALLUSPIN.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8704.89 by gaining over 16.20 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 147 gained, 91 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
