DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country witnessed downward trends in share-price indices on Tuesday (January 26), the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, lost 10.20 points to stand at 4610.11 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 119705 with transaction at Tk 4456.18 million. Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 162 declined and 44 remained unchanged.

POWERGRID topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 125.10 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were ALLTEX, EMERALDOIL, SAIFPOWER, ITC, ALARABANK, SQURPHARMA, BXPHARMA, IFADAUTOS and BDTHAI.

On the other hand, Chittagong stocks’ Selective Categories Index came down to 8621.20 by losing over 24.16 points.

Out of the issues traded, 83 gained, 147 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
