DHAKA: Commerce minister Tofail Ahmed said that the export order of Bangladeshi products has increased by Tk 71-cr from the past year at Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).

Total amount of the order is now 235.17-cr, he added.

The minister came up with this assertion at the closing ceremony of the fair around 4:30pm Sunday (January 31).

He said the goal of export for 2015-16 FY is 33.5 billion USD and export more than 16 billion USD has been achieved by last December.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) vice-chairman Mahrufa Sultana chaired the program attended by Parliamentary standing committee for commerce ministry president M Tajul Islam, commerce secretary Hedayatullah Al Mamun and FBCCI president Abdul Matlub Ahmad, among others, were present.
