DHAKA: Trading in the country’s two bourses ended positively on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 30.67 points or 0.67 percent than Monday to stand at 4591.09 at closing.

Trade deals stood at 119299 with transaction at Tk 5097.32 million.

Of the issues traded, 157 advanced, 125 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 260.47 million having changed hands during the time.

Other toppers in the market were SQUAREPHARMA, CITYBANK, UPGDCL, ALLTEX, ITC, CVOPRL, APOLOISPAT, OLYMPIC and RAKCERAMIC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8598.16 by gaining over 66.77 points than the previous day.

Out of the issues traded, 115 gained, 101 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

ALARABANK, NBL, SQURPHARMA, UPGDCL, ITC, BEXIMCO, SPCL, REGENTTEX, EMERALDOIL and CITYBANK shares were market toppers in terms of values.
