DHAKA: Trading in the country’s two bourses are underway showing positive trends on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 5.65 points or 0.12 percent than Tuesday to stand at 4596.75 at 11:57am.

Trade deals stood at 42748 with transaction at Tk1799.75 million.

Of the issues traded, 74 advanced, 144 declined and 74 remained unchanged.

CITYBANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 216.88 million having changed hands during the time.

Other toppers in the market were APEXFOODS, ACI, SPCL and SQUAREPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks, however, started with negative trends with the CSE Selective Categories Index declined to 8591.16 by losing over 0.34 points than the previous day.

Out of the issues traded, 54 gained, 98 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
