DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 8.88 points to stand at 4578.89 at 12:17pm.

Trade deals stood at 42275 with transaction at Tk 1460.71 million.

Of the issues traded, 176 advanced, 77 declined and 55 remained unchanged.



BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 152.51 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8582.74 by gaining over 27.32 points at 12:11pm.

Out of the issues traded, 105 gained, 53 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
