DHAKA: Commerce minister Tofail Ahmed said that a business council will be formed with European Union (EU) to expand business between Bangladesh and members of the organization.

He made this disclosure at a press briefing at the ministry conference room on Wednesday afternoon (February 10).

A four member EU delegation also attended the briefing.

The minister said they are thinking about the inclusion of representatives from private sectors along with the government officials.

‘We have discussed with the visiting EU delegation about the matter,’ he added.

English politician and European Parliament member for the London Region Jean Lambert led the EU delegation.
