DHAKA: Investors witnessing gain in indices of two bourses in the opening hour as prices of majority number of shares increased on Thursday (February 11), the fifth trading day of the week.

The benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 0.18 percent or over 8.64 to reach at 4582.06 points at 10.39am without any significant fluctuation.

Trade deals stood at 5113 with transaction at Tk330.82 million. Of the issues traded, 60 advanced, 39 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

BSRMLTD topped the chart of most traded stocks with a value of Tk268.23 million followed by BXPHARMA Tk95.27 million, AL-HAJTEX Tk59.10 million and BSRMSTEEL Tk55.17 million.

On Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the benchmark index CASX rose over 13.92 points to 8583.91 points at 10.36am.

Among 30 issues traded, 13 advanced, 10 declined and remaining 7 were unchanged.

The turnover value stood at Tk16.61 million on the port city bourse.
