DSE, CSE witnessing gain

DHAKA: Share price indices in country’s both bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – saw rise in early hours of trading on Tuesday (February 16).

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 8.60 points or 0.18 percent to 4593.64 at 12:04pm.

Trade deals stood at 43590 with volume of transactions at Tk 1937.99 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 161 advanced, 78 declined and 59 remained unchanged.

BSRMLTD was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 215.17 million changing hands till then followed by UPGDCL, SAPORTL, AMANFEED and AFCAGRO.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hours with its Selective Category Index (CSCX) gaining17.22 points to 8605.27, at 12:00pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 105 gained, 37 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
