DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 1.93 points only to stand at 4580.79 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 119003 with volume of transactions at Tk 4712.23 million.

Of the issues traded, 150 advanced, 124 declined and 52 remained unchanged.



UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 223.08 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSRMLTD, SUMITPOWER, SHASHADNIM, AMANFEED, SQURPHARMA, BXPHARMA, QSMDRYCELL, EMERALDOIL and KPCL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8603.77 by gaining over 16.42 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 115 gained, 97 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
