DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Thursday, the fifth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 4.92 points or over 0.10 percent to stand at 4585.72 at the first hour of trading at 10:34am.

Trade deals stood at 1790 with volume of transactions at Tk111.44 million.

Of the issues traded, 44 advanced, 21 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk77.57 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSRMLTD, LAFSURCEML, IFADAUTOS and SINOBANGLA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8604.61 by gaining over 0.83 points.

Out of the issues traded, 2 gained, 1 declined and 5 remained unchanged.
