DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday (February 18), the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 6.87 points to stand at 4587.66 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 105628 with transaction at Tk 4407.73 million. Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 154 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 257.57 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were UPGDCL, BSRMLTD, BXPHARMA, IFADAUTOS, KPCL, AMANFEED, SQURPHARMA, QSMDRYCELL and EMERALDOIL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8609.86 by gaining over 6.09 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 87 gained, 129 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
