DHAKA: After the incidents of ATM card forgery of Eastern, City and United Commercial banks, a customer of BRAC Bank is the latest victim of this card forgery.

Miscreants used forged debit card of one Prit Reza, a customer of the bank, for shopping from a shopping center in city on February 20 (Saturday).

Reading an SMS on his mobile phone about the expenditure of Tk 24,900, Prit checked his wallet and found the card there.

Immediately, he called at the call center of the bank and get instructions about submitting written charges during the office hour.

Prit submitted the charges with the Banani branch of the bank in city on February 22 (Monday). He, however, was not informed when the money will be given back.

On contact, BRAC Bank head of communication Zara Jabeen Mahbub told banglanews that they are investigating the matter.

She, however, assured that the bank will give back the customer’s money.
