DHAKA: The management of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) was advised to play pioneering role in industry and employment generation by enhancing investment for accelerating the national economy.

The directions came from the IBBL Board of Directors’ meeting held at Board Room of Islami Bank Tower in city on Saturday (February 27).

IBBL issued a press release, signed by the bank’s assistant vice-president Nazrul Islam, regarding the board meeting in the evening.

IBBL chairman Engineer Mustafa Anwar chaired the meeting.

Local and foreign directors along with Mohammad Abdul Mannan, managing director of the Bank, were present in the meeting, the release added.

The meeting, however, expressed its satisfaction while evaluating the performance of the bank over the success and progress achieved so far.
