DHAKA: A there-day fair of jute products will kick off on March 6 aiming to boost interest of using Jute products and successful enactment of “Mandatory Jute Packaging Act”.

The event will be arranged at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the fair and hand over awards to 38 eminent persons in 11 categories.

The officials, individuals and institutions will be honored for their mentionable role in implementation process of Mandatory Jute Packaging Act.

State minister for textiles and jute Mirza Azam informed the matter in a press conference at his secretariat office in city on Sunday (February 28).

Textiles and jute minister Emaz Uddin Pramanik was also present at the confernece.
