DHAKA: Investors witnessed deflation of the share market as the prices of benchmark indices dipped in two bourses of the country on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 24.87 points or 0.57 percent to stand at 4511.96 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 112132 with volume of transactions at Tk 4629.27 million.

Of the issues traded, 97 advanced, 173 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

LANKABAFIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 380.53 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were Orion Pharma, IFADAUTOS, Singer Bangladesh, BSRM Limited, CMCKAMAL, LAFSURCEML, Beximco Pharma, ZAHEENSPIN and QSMDRYCELL.

Chittagong stocks also followed trend as the price indices of CSE Selective Categories Index, CSCX, decreased to 8458.93 by losing over 44.86 points.

Out of the issues traded, 61 gained, 152 declined and 27 remained unchanged with a total volume of transactions of Tk 510.04 million.
