Benapole Immigration’s server restored

BENAPOLE (JESSORE): After a period of 29-hour halt, server of Immigration at Benapole International checkpost has been reinstated on Tuesday (March 01).

The engineers came from Dhaka and repaired it. The server started functioning from 11 am today. The travelers are crossing the border through the normal procedure since then, said the authorities concerned.

Earlier, the internet server of Immigration went down from 6:00am on Monday (February 29).

The travelers, whoever crossed the check post without getting checked by the computerized system, their information will be scrutinized eventually.

Hence, many local and foreigner passengers crossed the border without check-in with the database system.

At that moment, the officials concerned of immigration were worried about the possible departure or entry of any black-listed people or terrorists.

Benapole Immigration officer-in-charge (OC) Mominur Rahman affirmed the reinstatement of the server to banglanews.
