DHAKA: Investors of the country observed modest gain as share price indices in two bourses saw upward trends in the opening hours on Thursday (March 10), the last session of the trading week.

DESX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 13.63 points or 0.30 percent from the previous day and stayed to 4471.44 points at 11:00am.

Trade deals stood at 11,707 with transaction at Tk 515.11 million. Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 69 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

Beximco Group was the leader of trading with shares changing hands of Tk 105.60 million.

Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed, NFML, SinoBangla Industries Limited and Beximco Pharma.

Stocks in Chittagong also followed the trend. CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse (CSE) gained 17.52 points and stood at 8357.83 at 10:54am.

Out of 70 traded issues, 35 advanced, 21 declined and 14 remained unchanged. The total amount of transaction till the moment was Tk 39.63 million.
