DHAKA: Both the bourses of the country saw downward trends of share price indices on Sunday (March 13), the first session of the trading week.
DESX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 1.20 points or 0.02 percent from the previous day and stayed at 4483.32 points at 11:48am.
Trade deals stood at 30,391 with transaction at Tk 1,155.66 million. Of the issues traded, 92 advanced, 133 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
Aman Feed was the leader of trading with shares worth Tk 155.98 million changing hands.
Other toppers of the market were LankaBangla Finance Limited, ITC, BSCCL and Regent Textiles Mills Ltd.
Stocks in Chittagong also followed the trend amid choppy trading. CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse (CSE) lost 6.22 points and stood at 8377.30.
Out of 167 traded issues, 57 advanced, 77 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total amount of transaction was Tk 72.71 million.
