DHAKA: Finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith categorically said that actions will be taken against Bangladesh Bank regarding the robbery of money by hacking its system.

He made this assertion to the media at secretariat in city on Sunday (March 13).

Expressing his anguish, the finance minister further said, ‘They did not tell me the hacking incident though it took place one and a half months earlier.’

‘I am unhappy in this incident.’

He further said that he will request the Prime Minister to take action against the central bank in a meeting with her this afternoon.

Earlier on the day, Indian high commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla met the finance minister at the finance ministry.
