Dutch-Bangla expo in Netherlands on Sept 28-29

DHAKA: The “Dutch-Bangla Expo-2016”, a joint trade fair, will be held in the Netherlands on September 28-29.

Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) president M Hassan Khaled made this announcement on Monday afternoon (March 21) at a DBCCI-hosted reception program in honor of Netherlands ambassador to Bangladesh Leoni Cuelenaere at Gardenia Grand Hall in Gulshan in city.

The trade fair will be partnered by Bangladesh embassy in the Netherlands and coordinated by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

He said the expo initiative is the consequence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to the country.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Netherlands Embassy to Bangladesh, Board of Investment (BOI), Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and FBCCI are also supporting the event, he added.

The special guests attended the event were, Kabir bin Anwar, Director General (Admin) of PMO of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) chairman Major General (Retd) Humayun Khaled.

DBCCI president M Hassan Khaled warmly welcomed everyone to the program. He reported various activities taken by DBCCI in previous year.

Leoni expressed her gratitude to DBCCI for its activities to develop bilateral trade between the Netherlands and Bangladesh.

She assured the best support for DBCCI for their enthusiastic steps for developing Business for both the countries.

Shahriar Taha, Chairman, Standing Committee, Trade Fair & Event delivered vote of thanks.

DBCCI vice-president Md. Atiqul Haque, secretary general Altaf Hossain Biswas, and Trade Fair & Event Committee chairman Shahriar Taha,  member secretary Muhammad Risalat Siddique, and coordinator Rehana Akter Ruma were also present in the event.

Advisor Economic and Commercial Affairs of Dutch Embassy in Dhaka Monnujan Khanam and distinguished members of DBCCI also participated in the event here.

The reception program was ended followed by lunch.
