Bourses see fall on Wednesday

DHAKA: Country’s two bourses saw fall of share price indices on Wednesday (March 23), the fourth session of trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 29.05 points or 0.65 percent to stand at 4381.16 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 127,532 with transaction at over Tk 4141.57 million. Of the issues traded, 86 advanced, 191 declined and 40 remained unchanged.

Dragon Sweater And Spinning Limited (DSSL) topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 329.02 million having changed hands.

Other toppers of the market were Keya Cosmetics Ltd, BSRM Limited, Emerald Oil, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, AFC Agro Biotech Limited, Aman Feed Limited, Titas Gas, Delta Life Insurance and Orion Infusion Ltd.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, losing over 59.06 points to stand at 8184.28 on Wednesday.

Of the issues traded here, 45 gained, 155 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 284.14 million.
