DHAKA: Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd, the largest paper and tissue manufacturing company in the country, was awarded with FSC-CoC certificate recently by RINA Services S.p.A, Italy.

This made the company first and only FSC-CoC certified paper and tissue manufacturing company in Bangladesh.

Bashundhara Group Additional Managing Director Safwan Sobhan received the certificate from RINA Bangladesh certification manager Aslam Khan on Monday (April 4).

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is the global standard-setter in responsible for forest management.

Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification guarantees that wood products come from certified and responsibly managed forestlands.

FSC certification ensures customers that the paper and tissue products they purchase come from an environmentally responsible, socially equitable, and economically viable forest.
