Bourses see up Wednesday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (April 13), the fourth trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 01.11 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 4408.64 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 103,618 with transaction at over Tk 3900.74 million. Of the issues traded, 120 advanced, 141 declined and 55 remained unchanged.

Jamuna Oil Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 226.16 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, LankaBangla Finance Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., BSRM Limited, Keya Cosmetics and Beximco Pharmaceuticals.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 13.64 points to stand at 8246.60 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 89 gained, 122 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 244.37 million till then.
