DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gains on Monday (June 27), the second trading session of week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 32.60 points and 0.74 percent to stand at 4412.82 at the end of day’s transaction.
Trade deals stood at 76,196 with transaction at Tk 3521.10 million on the day.
Of the issues traded, 205 advanced, 62 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 143.76 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Olympic Accessories Limited, Aman Feed Limited, Islami Bank, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited, National Feed Mill Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. and Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, ended the day at 8223.69 by gaining over 53.88 points.
Out of the issues traded, 157 gained, 57 declined and 38 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 653.78 million.
