Olivia is ‘in love’ with Jessie J

DHAKA: Olivia Somerlyn has declared her love for Jessie J. The US pop sensation is good friend with the BRIT Award-winning singer after getting to know her on the UK leg of her `Alive` tour and the 19-year-old musician said the ‘Price Tag’ singer offered her valuable advice on making it big in the music industry.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz, ‘It’s unbelievable. Jessie J is one of my favourite artists and I look up to her so much. I think I’m just kind of in complete awe of her right now. If I could write and collaborate with anyone right now it would be Jessie J. I’m in love’, reports contactmusic.com.`

The pair have become good friends since it was first announced the teen singer would be joining Jessie on tour but Olivia was so nervous about meeting her idol that she fell over.

She recalled, ‘When I met her I had all these rollers in my hair and it was so embarrassing. I tripped over my chair and made a total fool out of myself. She came running over to me saying, ‘Nice to meet you, nice to meet you’, to all my band and everyone and I totally froze. I kind of tried to stand up and I totally tripped over my chair and I never get starstruck. We were able to laugh about it but I was so embarrassed’.

Nerves is seemingly something Olivia has in common with her idol, as she was surprised to find out that Jessie also gets nervous before shows as she explained, ‘I think the first show of every tour is really nerve-racking... and even Jessie J was saying, ‘I get nervous every night,’ which really shocked me because I think she`s absolutely perfect and has no reason to ever be nervous’.
