DHAKA: Star Cineplex will screen two recent American movies ‘The Lone Ranger’ and ‘OZ the Great and Powerful’ at its halls from Friday.
The Cineplex will premiere ‘The Lone Ranger’, a 2013 western action movie Thursday evening.
The movie, directed by Gore Verbinski, stars Johnny Depp as Tonto, the narrator of the events, and Armie Hammer as John Reid.
Based on the radio series of the same title, ‘The Lone Ranger’ relates Tonto’s memories of the duo’s earliest efforts to subdue the immoral actions of the corrupt and bring justice in the American Old West, says Wiki.
Another 2013 movie ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ is an American 3D fantasy adventure film, directed by Sam Raimi.
The film stars James Franco as Oscar Diggs, Mila Kunis as Theodora, Rachel Weisz as Evanora, and Michelle Williams as Glinda. Zach Braff, Bill Cobbs, Joey King and Tony Cox are featured in supporting roles.
Based on L Frank Baum’s Oz novels, and also pays homage to the 1939 MGM film, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, the movie ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ is set 20 years before the events of the books.
It focuses on Oscar Diggs, who arrives in the Land of Oz and encounters three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda.
