DHAKA: A three-day group photography exhibition will begin at Dhaka Art Center in city’s Dhanmondi area from September 27.

The exhibition titled ‘POV_Prime 50’s : Season 1’ will remain open from 3:00pm to 8:00pm till September 29.

A total of 50 photographs will be displayed at the exhibition. These photographs were earlier selected from more than a thousand photographs taken by about five hundred photographers across the country.

Hasan Saifuddin Chandan of Map, EFIAP was the judge for the selection.

The organisers will arrange a two-hour discussion on photography from 4:00pm on September 28 and the prize giving ceremony will be held at 6:00pm on September 29.

According to the organisation release, POV (short of Point of View) is a photography community based on a motto ‘Share…Critique…Encourage’.

They started their journey in January with the hope to promote photography to everyone.

The primary goal of POV is to share the proper way of photography as well as photo criticism which helps other people to understand how to capture or judge a good photo, the release said.

POV is currently working for an independent website to feature their works internationally.
