DHAKA: Documentary serial Nongor’s maiden show ‘Buriganga’ will be aired at 7:25pm on Sunday, on the occasion of World Rivers Day, at BTV and BTV World simultaneously.

Concept, scripting and presentation by Sumon Shams, this 25-minute documentary on rivers will show the present condition of country’s one of the major rivers Buriganga.

The documentary will also uphold the role of the river Buriganga in establishing the capital city Dhaka on its bank.

Different aspects, including biodiversity, pollution and communication, will also be highlighted in the documentary regarding the river.

Environment and forest minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, shipping and inland water transport minister Shahjahan Khan, information minister Hasanul Haque Inu, state minister for law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry Muhammad Qamrul Islam and eminent environmentalist Inun Nishat, among others, will be interviewed at the documentary.
