Bangladesh reported no new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while 26 people hospitalised.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) health bulletin confirmed the matter on Wednesday (June 25).
During this period, a total of 499 samples were tested, resulting in a positivity rate of 5.21 percent. So far in 2025, 499 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,052,044 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The total number of Covid-19 tests conducted in Bangladesh has now reached 15,730,630.
According to the DGHS, no Covid-related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. This keeps the number of deaths for the current year at 19, while the total number of fatalities since March 2020 remains at 29,518.
The overall recovery rate stands at 98.41 percent, while the death rate is currently 1.44 percent. The total test positivity rate since the outbreak began is 13.05 percent.
Bangladesh detected its first Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and recorded the first death from the virus ten days later on March 18. Health officials continue to urge citizens to stay alert and follow health guidelines to prevent further spread.
