21 Covid-19 cases reported in 24 hours  

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday (June 30) said 21 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

DGHS confirmed the report through a press release that was issued this afternoon.

A total of 384 samples were tested during this period, with a positivity rate of 5.47 percent.

With the new infections, the number of confirmed cases this year stands at 569. Since the pandemic began, Bangladesh has reported a total of 2,052,114 Covid-19 cases.

The country’s total death toll remains at 29,521, with no fatalities recorded in the past day. So far in 2025, a total of 22 people have died from the virus.

As of now, 15,732,114 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the country.

The overall detection rate stands at 13.04 percent, while the recovery rate is 98.41 percent. The case fatality rate is currently 1.44 percent.

Bangladesh first confirmed Covid-19 cases on March 8, 2020, and recorded its first death from the virus ten days later, on March 18.
