The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today confirmed two new Covid-19 cases in the country over the 24-hour period from 8:00 am Friday to 8:00 am Saturday.
According to the DGHS statement, 55 samples were tested during this time, with a positivity rate of 3.64 percent.
No new deaths were reported during this period. The total number of Covid-19-related deaths in Bangladesh remains at 29,529 since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
The country detected its first Covid-19 case on March 8, 2020, and reported the first death just ten days later on March 18.
