Health officials today reported 568 fresh cases of dengue and at least four deaths in the past 24 hours.

A Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said the new cases were recorded across different divisions, with Dhaka, Chattogram, Barisal, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, and Sylhet among the affected areas.

Since the start of the dengue outbreak this year, 122 deaths have been reported, and 31,476 people have been infected.

By comparison, last year dengue claimed 575 lives and infected 101,214 people nationwide.
