Health officials today reported 363 new dengue cases across the country, claiming at least three lives in the past 24 hours.
According to a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 88 patients were admitted in Barishal division, 50 in Chattogram, 70 in Dhaka division (excluding the capital), 56 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 56 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 16 in Khulna, 10 in Mymensingh, 16 in Rajshahi, and one in Sylhet.
So far this year, dengue has killed 130 people and infected 33,309 nationwide. Last year, the disease claimed 575 lives and affected 1,01,214 people.
