DHAKA: Russian foreign ministry says Syrian opposition refuses to participate in proposed Moscow talks.
RIA Novosti reported Friday, says TDS.
The National Coalition, Syria’s leading opposition force, rejected Russia’s offer to hold talks with Syrian authorities in Moscow, the agency quoted Russian foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich as saying.
‘Unfortunately, the initiative of holding such event is being blocked by the National Coalition and independent leaders who are not ready to take part in Geneva 2 (conference)’, Lukashevich said.
