‘Kidnapped Syrian MP executed by jihadists’

DHAKA: A Syrian lawmaker who was kidnapped by opposition jihadist fighters earlier this year has been executed.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said on Sunday, reports The Straits Times.

A parliamentary source in Damascus, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Mujhem al-Sahu, from eastern Deir Ezzor province, had been executed, without specifying who was responsible.
