DHAKA: Thailand has registered the first clash between pro- and anti-government demonstrators as crowds blocked off state agencies across the country, calling on the prime minister to step down.
The clash took place Thursday in the central province of Pathum Thani where a hundred of opposition protesters went to a rally outside the local City Hall but were intercepted by a thrice as strong group of government supporters.
The standoff led to a brawl where three opposition activists were injured, in what is the first blood spilt during the nationwide rallies that have been holding Thailand in their grip for about a month, reports The Voice of Russia.
