DHAKA: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps could not be destroyed completely, not even by thousands of enemy bombs.
IRGC commander Mohammad Ali Jafari was quoted by Press TV as saying on Tuesday, reports The Jerusalem Post.
‘If today, the enemy…strikes us with thousands of bombs via a large number of sorties, (only) 10 to 20 percent of the IRGC’s missile capability might be destroyed,’ he said.
The IRGC commander added Tehran’s missiles can reach Israel.
Jafari’s remarks came in response to a comment made by Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who said Iran’s entire defence system could be rendered inefficient by one US bomb.
