DHAKA: The civil war in Syria has grown especially brutal in the last nine days, resulting in the death of at least 700 and the disappearance of hundreds more.
Media reported on Sunday, citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, says The Jerusalem Post.
‘From January 3 to 11, the fighting killed 697 people, among them 351 rebel fighters, 246 members of the (jihadist) Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and 100 civilians,’ the rights groups said, adding that death tolls were expected to rise.
