On Saturday, Israeli forces launched extensive strikes across Gaza and southern Lebanon, resulting in at least 75 casualties.

In Gaza, 44 people were killed in airstrikes on Saturday targeting densely populated areas.

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, Israeli attacks left 31 dead, including six Lebanese rescue workers responding to an earlier strike.

Among the victims in Gaza were three Palestinian detainees who had just been released.

The escalation has intensified ongoing conflicts between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, raising concerns about further regional destabilization

A UN-backed assessment warned of “an imminent and substantial likelihood of famine occurring” in areas of northern Gaza amid increased hostilities and a near-halt to the entry of food aid.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,552 Palestinians and wounded 102,765 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 were taken captive.

In Lebanon, at least 3,136 people have been killed and 13,979 have been wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
