Mumbai: As Mumbai gets ready to usher in Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has stated that two suspected terrorists are trying to enter the city, reports NDTV.
The government has released photos of these men. Chavan says it was the Union Home Ministry who informed him about the security threat.
"Two people of foreign origin have entered Mumbai intending to cause disruption at crowded and religious places," said Joint Police Commissioner Himanshu Roy. Special police units have been set up to intercept them. CCTV cameras installed at public places for festivals will also come in handy to locate them, Roy added.
The suspected terrorists are named Kalimuddin Khan alias Rameshwar Pandit and Hafiz Sharee.
