DHAKA: A team of chemical weapons experts dispatched by the United Nations to Syria arrived Thursday at in rebel-held territory outside Damascus, activists said, and began preparations for a third day of investigations into an alleged gas attack by the Syrian regime.
Activists said the team had arrived in Douma, an eastern suburb of Damascus, where they were to examine the sites opposition activists claim rockets were hit by rockets carrying chemical weapons.
The UN experts were to also run tests and conduct interviews with people wounded in the attack, the activists said, reports The Jerusalem Post.
