DHAKA: Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid intend on discussing preparations for the Russian-Indian high-level summit planned for October 2013 at a meeting in Moscow on Wednesday.

At a meeting with Lavrov, Khurshid spoke about how today is a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the annual Russian-Indian summit, which will be held later this month and which is an extremely important event of 2013.
President Putin and Lavrov play an important role in world peace, Khurshid continued.
The Indian minister told Lavrov that thanks to his interference, peace was preserved even when others refused to support it.
Khurshid also spoke about participating in a meeting of the Russian-Indian committee for trade and economic cooperation on October 3.
Lavrov said he was ready to discuss the bilateral relations and the situation in world, including North Africa, Middle East and Afghanistan.
