DHAKA: A Chinese court said it will announce its verdict on an appeal filed by fallen politician Bo Xilai on Friday.

Bo who is a former member of the Communist Party`s political bureau was recently given life imprisonment for corruption and embezzlement.

Bo has challenged the verdict against him at the Shandong People`s Higher Court pleading not guilty of the charges.

But judicial observers said that there was little possibility that the court will overturn the earlier judgement which convicting him. But there is a slim possibility that the punishment of life imprisonment may be reduced, they said.
