DHAKA: A class IX student of a public school in south Delhi was allegedly gang-raped by three men inside a car parked at a ground near Safdarjung Enclave on Tuesday night, police said.
The 17-year-old survivor was too scared to tell her parents about the assault but confided in a friend who informed the police around 1:00am on Wednesday morning.
The accused are on the run, The Times of India publishes this report on Thursday.
The girl told the police that the accused Rohit, whom she knew through a friend, called around 8 pm that evening and asked her to come out and meet him.
The men then drove around in the area for half an hour with her in the car. They then turned towards the Dussehra ground near Pilanji village and drove to the parking lot, where the assault took place.
The survivor said the men dropped her home after threatening her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the rape.
Rohit and the other two accused, Narender alias Ninder and Tinku, who was driving, are all residents of Pilanji.
Police have impounded the Verna car used in the crime.
