Easy to do hairstyles for rainy days

The rains are here and we couldn't be happier. The monsoons bring with them a cheer to beat the summer heat, but not everyone's skin and hair is compatible with this season. If you're having one of those days where your hair just refuses to behave itself and you have no clue what to do with it, here are a few simple hairstyles for the monsoons.

A bun: Buns are simple and hassle free, grab all that hair and pin it up in a bun. You can make it loose or tight, depending on how and where you want to wear it. You can sport buns both with formal and casual wear. "There's so much that can be done with buns, you can leave it messy, you cut tie it up tight, you can puff up the sides, leave a strand out, add accessories and embellishments," says hair expert Mithila Desai. Add to this the fact that a bun will keep your hair from getting frizzy and keep it tightly in place.

Fishtails: The best part of braids is that they are both elegant and practical. Easy to make and a quick fix for hair, there are several types of braids you can try now, right from the popular French braid to the fishtail, many women are opting for this fun and trendy hair style.

A high ponytail: This is perhaps the easiest and most popular hairstyle which most women have a tendency of sporting. "If you're low on time, just tie all that hair up in a tight, high ponytail. On days when your hair is acting fussy and you don't want it to survive the winds and rains outside, just tie it up in a high ponytail," says hair expert and stylist Rhea Soans. It can even look surprisingly trendy with several celebrities sporting it on the red carpet as well.

Loose waves: If you have curls or really long hair, you tend to tuck it all behind your ear, but this season let your hair loose in all it's glory. Don't bother straightening or curling it up. What other season would allow the wind to play with your hair and have some fun with your pretty locks. Remember, your hair needs space to breathe as well.

Side sweep: Side swept hair has a very classy, almost vintage appeal to it. Either pull all your hair to the side or make a loose, textured side-swept braid. Letting some hair loose and out of place is also a good option. Finger through your hair to give it some natural, fun texture.
